There are many different steroids out there and each one is different from the next. How does one go about building a cycle with so many different compounds available? The answer is simple: research!
This applies to pretty much everything that has to do with bodybuilding: supplements like protein powders, pre and post workouts but more so with steroids, since they are potentially dangerous substances.
By knowing exactly what each drug does and what side effects it has, you can build optimal cycles that not only give you more benefits but also cause fewer side effects.
Now as you all probably know by now steroids come in either injectable or oral form, but this article will look at a compound that falls under the latter: Anadrol.
I would highly recommend you stay away from anabolic steroids until you learn how to effectively train, eat, sleep, and build a good natural base because otherwise you will be mostly wasting your time.
Just look at all these beginners going on gear too early to know exactly what I mean. They start juicing right from the start but quickly go back to the way they were before as soon as they stop.
With that having been said, let’s get started.
What is Anadrol (Oxymetholone)?
Anadrol was originally invented to treat a medical condition known as anaemia, although many other conditions related to weight loss were also treated with this drug. The original company that made this drug was Laboratorios Syntex SA, and although it no longer exists, Anadrol is still used widely nowadays both in the medical field and by bodybuilders. It is a very effective drug when it comes to weight gain, appetite increase, strength gains, and increasing the red blood cell count.
The most popular and common form of Anadrol is its oral tablet form. Such pills generally have a green colour and come in as 50 mg (Anadrol 50) per pill, although some people have also (supposedly) gotten 75 mg pills.
The capsule version is similar to the tablet version but is a lot less common. I have never taken or seen this kind of Anadrol and the only picture I have of this product is not even in English.
As with most orals, this drug also comes in injectable form. But unlike many other steroids, it also has another very exotic form which is paper. Paper steroids work like LSD where you place the strip under your tongue and let it dissolve. They can also be swallowed with water like a regular pill.
This form supposedly has better absorption rates and also nullifies many of the traditional side effects such as stomach pain. Generally speaking paper Anadrol (Paperdrol) is the most expensive while liquid Anadrol is the least. Anadrol is generically known as Oxymetholone and is frequently referred to as Anadrol 50, A50 or A-bombs.
Anadrol Uses and Cycles
When taking Anadrol it is important to understand that the dose versus benefit curve is not linear. When you take 50mg or even 100mg a day you will see some very good results, but when you go up to or above 150mg your gains are considerably reduced.
It has been shown that 100mg ED is just as effective as 150mg ED for weight gain, with the latter giving more side effects. Because of this, I would never recommend going over 100mg and even feel as if 50mg is enough for most people.
From my own experience with Anadrol, I can easily tell you that taking this drug for more than 3 weeks is not recommendable. You see, in the first 3 weeks you will notice incredible gains but they quickly taper off after that, although the side effects remain in full.
For this reason, I would highly suggest you use this drug as a kickstart for other compounds, using it for the first 3 weeks of your cycle and then discontinuing it.
Anadrol Side Effects
Anadrol is not a drug that should be used frequently or for extended periods of time due to its very high toxicity. While most oral steroids are known to be toxic to the body due to them being 17-Alpha-Alkylated, this one has the worst reputation for being the most hepatotoxic not just amongst oral steroids but even injectable ones.
It can also cause a lot of water retention, headaches, hormonal suppression, and can negatively affect your blood lipid profile. Also, when taken at very high dosages (over 100 mg a day) it can also inhibit your appetite which is the exact reverse of what you would normally get with lower doses. This drug can show up after as long as 8 weeks after your last dosage so keep that in mind if you are doing a drug-tested event.
That’s all for this article guys, remember to play it safe with this drug as it can have a lot of serious side effects. Thanks for reading and see you next time!
